it's been one week since i last blogged.
haha. the busy schedule of my working life has taken the toll on me.
but it's not too bad since i get to learn new stuff everyday.
and i learn exactly how a bank works from the inside (:
it's not just about the money and the credit cards. it's way more to that.
but since i don't intend to spend the rest of my life stuck onto a chair and a desk in a freezing cold area, it's just to gain experience i guess and to spend my extra time.
nothing much has happened part from the fact that i've been working.
my dear ade is working as well. for the same company in a different building :(
her job seems more interesting than mine actually.
actually, we should swtich jobs. she's the maths whiz and i'm the math idiot.
but i deal with mathematical stuff everyday and she doesn't! haha.
so marina square in like my lunchtime playground - somewhere i go practically everyday.
but since my lunch hour is so short. i go back everyday.
one day one shop.
haha. wee got me this grey and green jacket (: thanks a lot dahling!! (:
mummy got me a long sleeve top and a black and blue glitter tank (:
that's about all i've got.

i was supposed to help the wild empire usher during their concert but i needed to open a joint account with my mum so that she can transfer funds over for the family's survival while she's in shanghai. since i'm working, i don't quite get my usual allowance anymore.
but it's better than nothing. at least i don't have to pay for my own grocery shopping! oh the horrors.
& the bank does these processing things rather slow. so yeahh.
was supposed to go swimming with wee too but he's kinda down with the fever and flu.
so i'm being understanding about it and i'll go shopping on my own later!!
i'm surrounded by people everyday, it's nice to just be able to spend some time alone and enjoy watching the world go by,
but i'm meeting him later after his stuff and i'll head over to his home to make mee hoon kueh for him!!
haha. i'm still a newbe at it. probably made it only like 3 times or so with the supervision of his mum.
haha. i hope i improve tremendously today since it's his favourite food. (:

christmas is finally here!! (:
though i've been feeling really down lately - totally not in the christmassy mood.
it's finally here.
this year is slightly different though.
i feel like spending more on other people that getting anything in return. haha.
so without a budget in mind for anyone, i went shopping for presents.
got a lot of stuff for people. some stuff are well, practical, cute, cliche, pretty etc.
i just thought it suited them so it doesn't really matter how impractical it is.
i recieved presents from the people at the office as well. haha. cool.

the past few days of eating nonstop due to all the advanced christmas celebrations has made me balloon.
on thursday was wee's birthday. happy 18th love!! (:
yeahh.. had one yummylicous lunch at olio damn filling.
& we maet up with all his friends at night for swensens and ice-cream cake!!

haha. had a unit lunch at the office on friday.
i had 6pieces of ham, mashed potatoes, beehoon, curry, rice, chicken etc.
the food was good. we had an extremely lunch hour but it was rather slack cos christmas was coming soon.
they fed me so much cos they thought i was the smallest.
wait till they see me now!! haha. i'm not so small no more.

saturday was my grandaddy's birthday so we had loads of food as well.
happy birthday ah kong!! (:
we had homemade popiah made by my grandma.
she makes the best popiah i've ever had (:
went last minute christmas shopping as well.
a very fruitful and rewarding day i must say.

sunday's christmas eve!! (:
as usual, we have the annual christmas eve dinner with the cousins.
we had beef, christmas ham, turkey, smoked salmon, sausages, turkey stuffings etc.
had cheesecake or fruit tart for desert. haha.
yes. watched pulse upstairs in daddy's movie room.
followed by love actually on tv. it was a fun time of bonding. haha.
opened my presents are 12midnight after love actually. (:

i went to church yesterday and today!! it was awesome!! (:
haha. it was a great fun time of carolling and watching performances by our own brothers and sisters in Christ perform for the celebratio of Jesus' birthday!! (:
the lows will be coming over tonight for dinner.
instead of all the christmassy food which i've been having, it's down to local delights.
haha. we've got beef rendang, curry chicken, spaghetti, beehoon, chicken etc. tonight.
& i get to catch up with my favourite cousin - colin!! (:
i can't wait.

my first job

wednesday. went to meet winsome for lunch at the little italian cafe.
haha. i had my spinach flan with a pepperoni pizza (:
talked a load of rubbish. she's going back on wednesday. back home.
she'll be back in a month's time though (:
time sure will fly since i'm currently employed.
after lunching with her, i went to tanjong pagar's international plaza to sign up with the temp agency so i can work as soon as possible (:
i had to sign my signature like 30 times with 2 contracts before i could go.

yayness. i started work on thursday. early in the morning at 9am.
haha. formal wear with black dress pants and a grey long sleeve top.
initally, it took me damn long to get a hang of all the figures and what they mean.
but after a while, i got used to it.
so much for someone who doesn't like mathematics.
having to work with all those numbers were awful.
haha. did some debit-credit thing.
learnt a lot of stuff but i can't elaborate.
haha. had lunch with my dearest adeline yeong mun yan, her ryan & my wee.
needed to grab something quick cos i have a limited time for lunch.
had cavana which had the disappointing salmon cos the picture showed the salmon dish to be so yummy looking but in fact, it turned out to be a gravied dish with minimal fish inside :(
lost my wallet and had to look for it.
thank God that the people in citibank are understanding (: not to mention they're nice too.
(despite them not offering me a cookie! haha.)

wee joined me at work on friday. though in different departments.
we're still on the same level and damn near each other (:
had lunch together. poor love. his job was rather boring.
just scanning and striking. i, on the other hand, had nothing to do! haha.
i had to ask for things to do before i started to rot on the chair.
haha. got some credit card stuff. printing. learnt more things.
all of which i can't elaborate again.
haha. working in a bank finally makes me realise that people in singapore do spend a lot. haha.
and i mean a lot!!
had dinner with wee. &i finally had my popiah!! (:
walked around shopping.
the mango sale was squeezy and awful. so i was too tired from work to jostle with the crowd.
didn't really have the mood to do any shopping so i went home.
had a heart-to-heart talk with wee on the way home.
telling him how i really feel about everything.
so hopefully he understands when i'm down.

oh yes. it was our happy 14th months!! on friday as well.
haha. yes. we're kinda old already.
despite all the ups and loads and loads of downs.
we emerged stronger. understanding each other more and more.
hopefully, we'll last a very very very long time.
&for those of you who were at prom, i got a bob the builder waterbottle!! (:
you all know whyy.

woke up damn late today. at like 11plus.
haha. probably too tired from all the work and stuff.
watched eragon in the afternoon!! the baby dragon was adorable. haha.
it looked so huggable and squishable. heh.
the show was simply about responsibility, courage, strength and friendship.
i liked the show. it was not bad.
haha. wee had a craving for pasta so we had pasta for dinner.
mine was rather disappointing but i loved his pizza.
haha. went to buy a lao po bing cos i was greedy.
went over to his place cos i haven't seen his mummy&daddy in a long time.

haha. kahteng came over to play mahjong.
while waiting for my parents. i learnt the art of playing mahjong.
it's not so tough afterall (:

going to church bright and early tomorrow.

bali in a flash

bali/. i'm back!! (: haha. no, i didn't get my golden brown tan because it rained there & kuta beach was too crowded.
definitely what we learn in school applies, the amount of litter is atrocious.
you can find cigarette buds everywhere.
to think that that once beautiful white sand has now turned to grey.
but all was well. i hanged around mostly with my mum cos it'll be the last holiday together before she leaves to work in shanghai for 3 years coming jan.
i got my javanese lulur!! haha. it's this body message that's damn relaxing.
after which they'll scrub off all the dead skin on our body followed by a rub of yogurt. haha.
that's to reduce pore sizes and finally a petal bath!! (:
went sightseeing most of the time.
went up to mountains. the lakes. even the volcanoes.
the scenery there is simply breathtaking.
had loads of fun and brought back some gifts of nature.
haha. the volcanic rocks (:
went to kuta beach the next day to enjoy the sunset.
picked up some sea shells that were just beautiful.
the food there is simply not fantastic.
&singaporeans can never live in bali for long term. haha.
their pace of life is slow. really relaxed and slow.
but too slow for most singaporeans.
did my french manicure at the spa. haha. the things there are damn cheap.
had my hair treatment done for about S$9. & my manicure for S$9 too!!
THE GREATEST STEAL IN BALI WAS THE SATAYS!! (:
i enjoyed the cheap yet good roadside food more than those in any fanciful restaurants.
haha. my satay was like 5cents a stick and i had doughnuts that cost me only 17cents!!
all quoted prices are in Singapore dollars. haha.

i know this entry is kinda rojaked. but i just came back so forgive me.
haha. going to lunching with winsome before she heads back home for a vacation.
&i'll be heading to the temp agency to sign up for a job at citibank.
i'll be a workaholic coming tomorrow.
where i'll work weekly for 6 days a week.
haha. monday to friday will be doing some number matching job. haha.
facing numbers all 9 and a half hours of the day excluding lunch time.
& on saturdays i'll be replying emails for the company.
which is not bad.
i'll get a thousand plus by the end of the month.
it's time i can save up and enjoy life later. (:

chalet

CHALET/. it was a blast!! (: haha. after the successful for the weekend job, wee sent me all the way to aranda at pasir ris for the chalet. it was fun!! (: we talked loads of crap. settled down and went grocery shopping for all the necessities. haha. our what was supposed to be called a bbq ended up as a finger food party cos we saw this great steal - a deep fryer for 30bucks!! (: haha. we cooked our noodles in there and cooked sausages as well for dinner. haha. the girls did the cooking as usual while all the guys went crazy over the second part of lord of the rings on tv. haha. it was the war. the cool part!! (: the food was rather bland due to the absence of a stove, bowls, spoons, forks etc. haha. so we ate with disposable chopsticks and used a knife as a stir and a spreader. haha. we called the mahjong set rental. while tim, jiaxin, clement and liyi played their mahjong, florence and i were lazing around. cleaning up the place. haha. yes mummy. the next day we went to escape for a while cos i haven't been there before (deprived!!) haha. got soaking wet cos of the 15m fall ride. went into the haunted house which was a total bore. haha. helmi&eugene played the carnival games and got bored so they went back first. haha. we queued up damn long for the go kart. haha. i drove this little girl from china around. she's damn cute. her mum couldnt' drive so she asked me to drive her daughter. haha. i was practically trying to speed but that cute little girl (siting) told me to slow down cos her mummy would get scared if i drove too fast. so sweet right? (: it was fun driving her around though the queue lasted for nearly 2hours and the drive was about 3mins? haha. experience. went back after that to notice the empty room cos all the guys went to play pool!! waited around for ade&mag to make their grand entrance but they got lost. so i had to go find them around downtown east. haha. had our dinner. talk talk talk talk. ade was telling me about the chainsaw show. haha. gross!! had ade's surprise birthday thing. she was wondering why none of us went to open the door. heh. her cake was yummy and i loved her present. but too bad. it's hers. she'll be going to the zoo on her birthday but i can't join her cos i'll be in bali. headed home the next day. damn shacked. haha. we totally forgot about the 2tubs of ice-cream we bought. so tim, helmi, calvin and i had to finish up most of the ice-cream with bread. so we had ice-cream sandwiches for breakie. went to meet my boy after that and heading home for yummy dinner!! (:

i'm packing now. going to bali until next tuesday. which is really bad.
cos i'll be missing my dearest ade's birthday for the first time in so many years that i've known her :(

ade - happy advanced birthday girl!! (: i'm so sorry that i cannot be there when your turn legal. i would love to but the tickets have already been booked. i'll make it up to you. and i'll try to get you your camel with ribbons and 4humps wearing boots. haha. i'll try to find it. when i get back. we'll go out as planned and maybe with the boyfriends as well aiight? sorry.

i'll be off to bali with the entire extended family of 20+ people. it's going to be a very very large group of people with heaps of primary school kiddos that will always be babies to me. hah. i'm planning to get a tan with my cousins depending on whether bali is affected by the southwest monsoons. haha. &definitely massages and spas with my mummy. haha. wee's going to the airport to send me off with my grandmama and grandpapa. haha. i'm sure he'll look after them until they get home safely. till then. i'll miss you all, my friends. i'll call when i get back. presents for you? that's a definite.

prom!

thursday. it's finally the day of prom. in the morning i went with mumtazah to check out this place for hair and make up. haha. the woman was annoying and refused to listen to me, doing anything she likes with my face. so i kinda got pissed. thus, i didn't get anything done there. sorry mumtazah!! i called my hair salon to check if i can make a last minute appointment to do my hair (: and yayness! my favourite hair dresser was free! (: went home to nap a while after playing my harvestmoon. heading out to do my hair. went over to ade's place for make up and stuff. thankyou shirlene!! (: <3 must have been hard on her. headed down for prom at swissotel with ade&ching. thankyou aunty for the ride down. town was jammed so ade's mummy had to make a detour just to get us there on time. arrived in time though one hour later than we were supposed to be there. haha. everyone looked gorgeous!! (: could hardly recognise anyone. i even asked ade whether we were in the correct school's prom. haha. congratulations christine&leonard on being the prom king & prom queen. took loads of pictures. the food wasn't as bad as i expected it to be though most of the time i was eating cold food :( after which chantong, rahmat, rod, des, wee & i hitched a ride from nicholas to get to club momo for post prom. the crowd was amazing. though for my first time clubbing (along with ade, mumtazah, ching and wee) it was a little too crowded. it's damn smokey there. &the bouncer didn't allow my dearest ade, ching and wee to enter the club at first. so i had to roam around as a lonely soul for a moment of so. thankyou tim, gina and eugene for accompanying me. haha. i met marc in there as well. it's been eons since i last met him. haha. met sky too. it's amazing that i could still find them. danced a little on the dancefloor which was packed like sardines with ching, ade & wee. but with ching&ade most of the times. haha. ching got a little high. damn cute!! (: heading home early cos ade was getting a little tired and i had all these cuts on my feet from people on heels stepping on them and the glass in which the ruggers broke when they were drunk. but i'm alright. haha. it was a cool night. i'm going to miss pjc so much. congratulations to sally, rachel and cons on the large number of ticket sales (:

friday. i woke up damn late. like around 12noon to 1pm. haha. met wee for lunch at clementi market to eat the yummylicious fish porridge. the ingredients were delicious. ate the curry puff as well. haha. headed to imm for a little walk around. i bought some cross stitch thingy which i thought was very cute. wee got this wooden building thing. haha. went over to science centre to catch the deep sea at the imax theatres. i love sea animals. they're such a diverse ecosystem (: it's terribly how man's actions are actually harming such lovely creatures. my favourite animal is actually this colourful shrimp. it's adorable!! (: damn tired. watched tv at home after my dinner and went to bed like 2 hours later than i was supposed to but 4 hours earlier than my usual timing (:

today. woke up slightly early to follow my mumsie to town for her facial while i just roamed the streets doing practically nothing but window shop. haha. went over to millenia towers after that with mummy to her office cos she weanted to pick up her work to bring home but it was closed. had my chicken porridge at the food court there. it was not too bad. i still prefer the clementi fish porridge (: just kept snacking and buying loads of stuff. eating and drinking non-stop. i'm uploading the prom photos now actually but shutterfly is taking an awfully long time to upload it. oh yes. sorry rachel!! i know i'm supposed to upload your birthday photos as well but ive been so tired and so lazy. i'll do it by tonight. terribly sorry. actually i'm damn late for my interview at the tuition centre. so i better run. anyway, nothing much is happening except class chalet from monday to wednesday. bali trip from thursday to sunday. back on monday for work at citibank (if i get the holiday job that is)
